With the continued growth and popularity of boating, wakeboarding and wakesurfing in Oregon, influential property owners have demanded that the Oregon State Marine Board inflict laws on our waterways that limit our use of the Willamette River. In the past, the Oregon State Marine Board has opened discussion to laws like the Slow-No-Wake rule and to prohibit wake enhancement devices (WED) in certain areas.
At the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife building in Salem on January 10, the Oregon State Marine Board will open its quarterly meeting to the public to discuss extending its Slow-No-Wake and no-WED zones. Let your voice be heard against these regulations! This is your chance to share your opinion so that you can continue your favorite watersports for many summers to come.
